#1 – Travel the Road to Hana

The Haleakala Crater is a bit out of the way–and if you want to make it there by sunrise you’d better be on the road just after midnight. But this is for sure one of those life-changing experiences you’ll never forget.


#1 – Explore the Molokini Crater marine preserve

Getting there: 20-minute cab ride from Kahului

You’re likely not looking to get onto another boat after disembarking on Maui, but snorkeling at the Molokini island crater is well worth the excursion. This crescent-shaped island just off the coast of Maui is known for green sea turtles and an abundance of tropical fish.
