If you’re lucky enough to live in Trinity Bellwoods, you know it’s the place to be. Though the Annexers might come by for brunch at your awesome local cafes, the Liberty Villagers for your hip shops and hidden designer gems, and the rest of the city for real estate in the beloved Trinity Bellwoods park (or to seek out a sighting of the mythical white squirrel)—you don’t need anyone else to tell you that Trinity Bellwoods is where it’s at.

Paint Lounge – Toronto West

Paint Lounge is one of Toronto’s most ubiquitous paint night providers with three locations in the GTA, and the Toronto West location is perfectly placed to serve Trinity Bellwoods. Pick up your favorite coffee and maybe a piece of cake and paint your next masterpiece. Don’t worry if you’ve never painted before, Paint Lounge’s classes are designed for beginners and enthusiasts alike. Perfect for parties and nights out with friends, Paint Lounge’s College Street location is cozy and intimate, and the staff members are super supportive and eager to share their expertise. You’ll learn how to mix colors, create strong composition, and apply paint to the canvas. Though note, they do not serve alcohol at this location. But don’t worry, you’re in Trinity Bellwoods! There are lots of bars nearby happy to take your hard-earned cash when you’re done painting.

Arvinda’s

A bit farther afield up by Bathurst Station you’ll find one of Toronto’s best cooking classes: Arvinda’s. At Arvinda’s you’ll learn how to make perfect Indian food. You’ll learn to mix complex and aromatic Indian spices, master delicious mouthwatering chicken, and finally perfect your creamy butter chicken recipe. Mother-daughter duo Arvinda and Preena give great insight into Indian culture and food, and they share all their practical wisdom in one of their cooking classes. Whether you’re looking for beginner or advanced dishes, visiting Arvinda’s on Bathurst Street (in the Nella Cucina cooking studio) will spice up your cooking.

Brass Vixens – Trinity Bellwoods

Only a short walk away from Bellwoods park you’ll find Brass Vixens, the pole dancing studio taking Toronto by storm. If you are looking for new things to do in Toronto, and want something slightly decadent but super exciting, then try pole dancing at Brass Vixens on Queen Street. Pole dancing is one of the most intense workouts you’ll ever have—though beware of the “pole kisses”—angry red welts up and down your legs—that you’ll get after your first time. At Brass Vixens you can take an absolute beginner pole dancing class or you can mix it up and try twerking, burlesque dancing, and cardio hoola hooping.

With so much on offer, we’re sure you’ll find something in Trinity Bellwoods. This neighborhood is full of surprises. Form galleries, to artsy shops, to cool vintage bargains, and the best bars in the city, you can find everything here.
